I love the New set from Stampin' Up!'s Mini Occasions, Messages for Mom! This card used a lot of green for a Color Challenge this week!

I learned this technique Gradation last year, where you blend a lighter & darker color. I really like how this shows on this card!

The New Glassine Envelopes from Stampin' Up!'s Mini Occasions, are so much fun to make different gifts or treat bags. I decided that I wanted to give little gift packs for my Hostesses! And these worked great!

I put a small Stampin' Spot in and a fun stamp, plus gave a small sample of the New DSP! I think these are perfect gifts!

We made this simple and cute Thank You card at my upline Dawn's Technique Class last month. The flower was made by taking a strip of DSP and crimping it than using sticky strip on a circle and adhering the DSP around.

I made this card with everything from the Mini Occasions, starting with my own Wonderful Mother in mind using Well Scripted stamp set. Then using the flowers from Vintage Vogue, and Sending Love DSP. Then tied it together with the new Satin Ribbon Basic Black. I wanted to try a fun opening card, so I cut the front diagonally to open and it turned out nice.

Faux Alligator Purse Card

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Versamark; Punches: Word Window, 1 3/4" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle, 1' Circle, Big Shot Top Note Die; Embellishments: 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, Square Ice Rhinestone Brads, Clear Embossing Powder

This is a Gift Card Holder made to look a Purse. To make the faux alligator leather technique fold the top note in half the long way and then cover it with versamark, then cover with clear emboss powder and the using a bone folder draw in lines to your liking and then heat until clear and glossy.

Big Thanks

I have been Really busy this month. I am not even sure where January has gone. My card that I am sharing with you today I made for a friend/mechanic. My car has needed a lot TLC this past month and it is a Big relief when you have someone you can trust, especially when you are not sure about cars.

For myself creating a "Man Card" is really challenging. I used the set "Loads of Love" and did water coloring which is also a challenge for me. I really like how this card turned out.
